This was our last but one day in Ethiopia and was to “nurse” our sorely tried bodies. Jørgen suggested that we used the morning at the Sheraton swimming pool.
The entrance was 75 Birr and as Jørgen already holds a membership we were able to use the indoor Turkish bath and enjoy the luxurious shower that had 5-6 showerheads. We were absolutely clean when walking in to the outdoor pool.
The pool itself was very nice with 30 degrees water temperature. The bar served drinks by the pool and we splashed around as kids and enjoyed the sun.
In between when it got overclouded we felt cold and didn’t use as much sun block as necessary. The day turned out to be very hot.
When we got back to Jørgen’s apartment our body were dark red and so burning that we immediately covered us with wet towels. We realized that one should truly respect the African sun.
After inadequate cooling Jesper and I decided to go shopping as we needed some gifts to the family and to Sophie for her hospitality. That trip was very hot as the sun went on burning our already burned bodies. We looked forward to get early to bed this evening.
